Overview

Users stake HYPE tokens in Hyperpie and receive mHYPE—a yield-bearing liquid staking token that represents staked HYPE. Unlike a 1:1 ratio, the mHYPE/HYPE exchange rate is dynamic and increases over time as staking rewards accumulate.

Key Features

  • Yield Accrual: As HYPE is staked, it generates rewards. These rewards are not applied through a rebase mechanism. Instead, they are reflected in a rising mHYPE/HYPE exchange rate. For instance, if you stake HYPE and receive mHYPE at an initial 1:1 ratio, over time each mHYPE becomes redeemable for more than 1 HYPE.

  • Airdrops : Potential airdrop rewards generated from node staking will be distributed to mHYPE holders based on their share of the total mHYPE supply.

  • Liquidity and Flexibility: mHYPE is transferable and can be used in DeFi (e.g., as liquidity on the MEME DEX or for participating in MEME launches). This provides users with flexibility while still allowing them to earn staking yields.

  • Governance Rights: mHYPE also grants governance rights in Hyperliquid through its underlying HYPE. Stakers holding mHYPE can participate in Hyperliquid's decisions, ensuring that long-term participants have a voice in the platform’s evolution.
